Ranchi, September 24, 2026: If you're a new candidate planning to join Jharkhand NEET UG Round 3 counselling, today's your deadline — registration closes at 6 PM. The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) is running this round for MBBS, BDS and BHMS seats, and its revised schedule also covers certain All India Quota and NRI quota seats.

If this is your first time applying, head to the official counselling portal and complete and lock your form before 6 PM. Registration for this round opened on September 20, so take a few extra minutes to double-check your details and pay the fee — don't leave it for the last moment.

Registration closes at 6 PM, but editing continues

Keep in mind: the 6 PM deadline is only for new applications. If you've already registered, you can still edit your form between 6:01 PM and 11:59 PM today. This is a separate window — it doesn't give new candidates extra time to register.

Before you finalise your form, go through your personal details, category and NEET information one more time, and make sure your application is properly completed and locked.

What comes next in Round 3?

JCECEB will release both the Round 3 State Merit List and the vacant seat matrix on September 25. The seat matrix will show you how many seats are open before choice filling begins.

Choice filling starts on September 28 and closes at 6 PM on October 7. If you've filled your choices, you can edit them between 6:01 PM and 11:59 PM on October 7.

Provisional seat allotment letters will be out between October 9 and 14. If you get a seat, you'll need to complete document verification and admission at your allotted college between October 10 and 14. Just being on the merit list doesn't guarantee you a seat — it depends on your choices and the seats actually available.

Do earlier applicants need to register again?

Not necessarily. If you were already included in an earlier State Merit List, you don't need to submit a fresh application for Round 3. If your earlier application was left incomplete, simply log in with your existing details and complete and lock it.

One more thing worth noting: there was a separate correction window under JCECEB's September 21 notice, where candidates on the September 7 State Merit List could request corrections with supporting documents. That window closed on September 23 at 6 PM, so it's no longer open.

If you were admitted in Round 1 or Round 2 and want to try for a better course or college in Round 3, you can. But remember — if you get a new allotment, your earlier admission is automatically cancelled, and you'll have to join the new college/course.

If you were admitted to a State Quota seat in Round 2 and now move to an All-India Quota seat in Round 3, you'll need to surrender your existing seat and submit a resignation to your current institute. JCECEB has made it clear that your security money will be forfeited in this case.

If you're a new applicant, simply choose "New Registration" on the portal, complete and lock your form, and pay the fee. PH candidates don't have to pay the online registration fee. For any further updates, keep checking JCECEB's official notices page.
